Value investing and short selling

Short selling is an interesting issue for value investors, since from the value investing point of view it makes sense to sell an overvalued stock just like buying an under valued stock. The problem with shorting that it's risky. Here's a compilation of great investors on a wide range of issues regarding short selling. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlkWie9bv\_g](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlkWie9bv_g) Edit - The whole point of the video is to compile what great investors have said on this issue, the entire video is footage of great investor speaking, not of me speaking or giving my thoughts. I just compiled the video into separate sections in an orderly manner. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I haven't stated anything different than what great investors have said. And yes, I presented Joel Greenblatt method, and David Einhorn, and Bill Ackman. I also presented Jim Chanos's argument and strategy. I presented Jim Chanos because he's considered a value investor short seller, unlike George Soros or Bruce kovner who are traders. I hope I answered the view points of the comments.
