Warren Buffett has always invested by the phrase be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy. By the look of TESCO’s (TSCDY.PK) recent price drop, TESCO is no different as Warren Buffett has increased his stake in the British retailer from 3.21% to 5.08% amid the stocks 19% decline on the announcement last Thursday that underlying profits in the 2012-13 financial year would be about £450m lower than expected. Drops like these are common around earnings season and highlights Wall Streets (and any global institution for that matter) short term emphasis on GAAP earnings.
