The true skill comes into play with taking trading exits. Knowing when to take a loss and when to hang on to your profits. “ Know when to hold them and know when to fold them”. To compare some common profit taking exits and to determine which is the best general, all around short term profit taking exit, I ran a series of back tests on the S&P 500 futures.
