It seems that yield is always on the mind of income investors, so I decided to screen first on yield and present the 10 highest yielding stocks in my database:

A successful dividend growth investor must start young enough to allow time for dividend growth to occur. What happens when a person waits too late in life to start investing and they need immediate income? Many times the person will invest in high-yield, high-risk stocks and lose their savings.

When analyzing the dividend increases announced for the past week, I noticed that the data confirms my expectations. Most of the higher yielding stocks that announced dividend increases have had slow distributions growth, with some exceptions. Master Limited Partnerships seem to be on a roll this month.
