Great post talking about the differences between a split-offs and spin-offs. These offer some of the same benefits as spin-offs but are sometimes more advantageous for the little guy than it is for larger investors.
I'm not sure if it bad form to link to this before George has, but it has been posted for several hours and I didn't want anyone to miss their Sunday night reading.

Thanks George. I just tried editing it to fix the symbols but, they won't show change. I even cleared my cache-sorry.
It looks like I have to fix the ticker symbols using my administrative control panel. Apparently the system keeps whatever was first entered in as a stock symbol. If you try to change a small cap entry into all caps it still reverts to small caps. When I have some free time I'll clean this all up.
Feel free to link to my articles. I was having a lot of internet connectivity problems this weekend, so I appreciate that you linked to my article. Thanks Nick.
By the way, please be sure to type in stock symbols using all capital letters.
