Incorrect Vulcanology
While interesting, the author got his vulcanology facts wrong. Experts believe that when Yellowstone erupts, as it surely will, there will be a massive lava and pyroclastic flow, but no ash cloud. There's not enough dissolved gasses or pressure to generate a massive explosion. Instead it will ooze lava that will cover hundreds of square miles. Outside the lava flow, there won't be very much damage at all.
