Herb Greenberg and John Letzing get to the bottom of the over hyped press release by Medis Technologies last Friday regarding the sale of its 24/7 fuel cell Power Packs to Microsoft. Medis stock took off after the announcement. However, the MarketWatch reporters did their homework and contacted Microsoft. A Microsoft spokesman stated that Microsoft has no plans to resell or develop the fuel cell product. This is a good reminder of how important it is to double check the facts.
