Jobs for Learning about Value Investing?

Hi, I'm a recent grad and would like to have a job that would allow me to learn a lot about value investing every day. I suppose an obvious answer would be an analyst training program but those are so competitive. Are there corporate finance positions with tasks closely related to value investing tasks? Do the small and mid-sized value investing firms ever need recent grads? What about the few value oriented pension funds?

The best thing you can do for yourself is to start investing your own money, track your performance, and write about your decisions. You could start your own blog, newsletter, write here at VIN, or get a writing job from someone like Motley Fool. If you are low on investment funds, consider starting a business. Think and act like James Altucher.
If you are determined to work for someone, then I'd think MorningStar might be a good place to look, since they have a need for lot's of value analysts. An alternative path, might be getting into the field of business appraisals for a company that buys lots of small businesses. Learning about buying whole businesses in excellent training for valuing stocks.
Finally, you could do what Buffett did. Identify the top value investors in the country and offer to work for them for free. What you'll likely learn from them will be invaluable in the long run.
