Geoff answers a listener question about the BlackRock Latin America Fund. He uses data from Morningstar to show that while the fund has done great, investors in the fund have done badly. Geoff explains that the difference between the 10% and 20% returns the fund has posted and the 1% and 2% returns investors have received is due to bad timing on the part of investors. He says only buy the BlackRock Latin America Fund (MCLTX) if you're sure you have the stomach to hold it even when it’s down 50% in a year.
