 <title>Short Term Thinking In Altria: A Profit Killer</title>
 <link>http://www.valueinvestingnews.com/short-term-thinking-in-altria-a-profit-killer</link>
 <description>I received an email this weekend from &quot;Rich&quot; in Weston, VA. in response to my post on Altria last Thursday. I will paraphrase the applicable portion of it:

    * &quot;No matter how you try and spin it, they missed the quarter, missed it. All the other items in your post (spin off of PMI, buybacks) are all old news, the street has already factored them into the price of the stock. That is why it did not even participate in this weeks action.&quot;

This email is the poster child of short term thinking. If you are a long term investor what did you take away from the post? They raised full year guidance!</description>
