Nick, thanks for the Contributor's Corner plug. I'm glad you are enjoying your subscription to Contributor's Corner. (Now if I could only convince others of how valuable this service is.) Split-Offs will likely become a new category at Contributor's Corner in addition to regular spinoffs.

I'm actually going to report on my split-off experience with Chipotle and Domtar once my Domtar/UFS shares are in hand and sold. Stay tuned to the Fat Pitch Financials blog for a post about the amazing returns I've racked up on these two split-offs.

This one idea alone would have paid for an annual membership several times over!!

No, I'm not being compensated for my opinion. I just think that it is a very cool tool for a small investor.

I'm linking to this article for a couple of reasons: 1. The new Domtar might be a good spinoff/splitoff opportunity. 2. Now that the tender offer is complete I'd like to mentiom that FatPitchFinancials.com's Contributors Corner had identified this opportunity well in advance. Infact through tendering WY shares for Domtar shares you had the opportunity to make a very quick 11% on your investment. Yes, you could say I'm enjoying my subscription thanks to VIN.
