I agree, I like the CAPS system because not only does it help you keep track of stocks, but you can look through other user's ratings, read their pitches, and get more ideas for further research.

In regard to the article - apparently not everyone with a high rank knows what they're doing and tries to "manipulate" prices. I'm in the top 50, and I had no idea my ratings were more valuable than others! I just make picks based on some stocks I own, some I'm watching, and some I'd like to speculate on. Also, I highly doubt anyone is going to go out and buy a bunch of stock in a company they see has a high rating on CAPS.

My username is worckcin, please keep in mind that I see CAPS as a fun short-term game where underperform picks and speculating on a volume of picks give you an edge.

Article on a service, Motley Fool CAPS, that I've enjoyed playing with for the last month or so and possible stock price manipulation issues that might come from such a service. I'm currently a CAPS "All-Star" and am waiting for George to make his 7th pick!
