Great study George the fact is most "investors" do not practice "safety". I am an accountant and have prepared MANY sets of financials and i would NEVER invest in a financial because of lack of transperency.besides the sub prime mess was WELL KNOWN all summer. I am AMUSED by the amount of people who "like uncertaintity" when investing. Buffett says in Hagestrom and Billytickets book Risk is MISJUDGING the future earnings of the business.DFC did NOT have CONTROL over their fate.the subprime mess CONTROLLED it. Great post George

DFC poll

Remember this poll from back in August. It goes to show you that there is not always wisdom in crowds. I hope most of the 49 yes voters didn't actually hold shares in DFC.

I should really revisit all the past polls in a series of blog posts. I'm interested to see how we've done with our calls.
